Camellia Seed Oil is obtained from the seeds of Camellia oleifera, a flowering plant most widely grown for tea leaves. The camellia plant also produces edible plant oil and is one of the four main oil-bearing trees in the world, along with coconut, olive, and palm.
Its lightweight yet deeply nourishing properties make camellia seed oil a desirable ingredient in skincare products. Rich in antioxidants, it helps prevent and repair skin damage caused by sun exposure and other environmental stressors.
Camellia seed oil contains important minerals for the skin, such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc, plus a fatty acid profile with over 85% oleic acid (omega-9).
